scalable Wireless Broadband Internet access to local
communities along with local multi media and information
relevant to that community.

the AWB system went live on the 20th October 2003
providing all the residents and businesses in the
Dundrum area with Broadband Internet access. |

Broadband an Alternative |
| Activeware Wireless Broadband is an innovative
and unique option in Ireland for rural communities
that don’t have or will not have conventional
ADSL broadband Internet access. AWB offers a real
alternative to ADSL. Using satellite and dedicated
line technology combined with wireless networking.
AWB provides wireless broadband Internet access
of speeds of up to 2Mb, on an always on basis without
the need for any surveys, costly hardware or telephone

Future |
With the help of Locustword Mesh AP Software and
Services the AWB system will continue to grow and
expand its coverage and services. We currently supply
Wireless Broadband to Dundrum, Ballykinler with
Newcastle, Castlewellan and other areas being enabled
soon.
We have a great relationship with another company
called Air-Net who supply the same service to Dromore
and who are also expanding their network to other
nearby towns and villages. |
